The Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana 2026 will take place from 4th to 8th February, covering all three provinces of the Valencian Community. The race will feature one stage in Castellón and two stages each in Alicante and Valencia, totaling 600.5 kilometers of competitive cycling.

One of the most anticipated stages will be the individual time trial between Carlet and Alginet, with a 17.5-kilometer course clearly designed for top time-trial specialists. This stage will also serve as a real-world testing ground, as many teams will use the race to fine-tune equipment and strategies under competitive conditions.

🌄 Route and Key Stages on the Costa Blanca

Stage 3: 6th February – Orihuela – San Vicente del Raspeig (158 km)

This stage is clearly divided into two well-defined sections. The first 100 kilometers are completely flat, favoring high speeds and potential breakaways. In the final 50 kilometers, the terrain becomes more challenging with two climbs, including the Tibi mountain pass, a Category 2 climb located 35 km from the finish.

The stage starts in Orihuela and passes through Algorfa, Guardamar del Segura, Santa Pola, El Altet, Alicante, San Juan, Jijona, Tibi, and Agost, before finishing in San Vicente del Raspeig. This combination of flat roads and late climbs makes it an exciting stage with multiple tactical possibilities.

Stage 4: 7th February – La Nucía – Teulada (172 km)

This is expected to be a decisive and queen stage of the race, featuring five mountain passes and nearly 3,300 meters of accumulated elevation gain. The demanding Alto del Miserat, a Category 1 climb located 100 km from the finish, will be a key test to determine whether the race can be definitively shaped.

The stage starts in La Nucía and crosses Polop, Callosa d’en Sarrià, Bolulla, Coll de Rates, Parcent, Orba, Vall de Gallinera, Adsubia, Pego, Beniarbeig, Pedreguer, Alcalalí, Jalón, Benissa, and Calpe, before finishing in Teulada–Moraira.

In the final section, the climb to Cumbre del Sol (Benitachell) is expected to be decisive, just 12 km from the finish, preceded by the brutal Muro del Pou, with ramps reaching up to 22%, only 5 km from the finish line in Teulada. Everything points to this stage becoming one of the most spectacular stages of recent years.
