If you’re a film and summer lover, save the dates: from July 5th to 13th, 2025, the 37th edition of the Alfas del Pi Film Festival will be held, one of the most anticipated film events on the national scene. This charming Alicante town, bathed by sun and sea, becomes the epicenter of Spanish cinema for a week.

🎥 A festival with soul and tradition
Founded in 1989, this festival is not just a short and feature film competition: it’s a meeting place for filmmakers, locals, visitors, and lovers of the seventh art. Year after year, it grows in quality and participation, becoming one of the few events in Spain with the capacity to preselect short films for the Goya Awards 🏆.
In 2025, the festival has broken records with more than 1,200 works submitted. The magic? A unique combination of good cinema, varied programming, and a coastal atmosphere that will captivate anyone.

📅 What can we expect this year?
This year’s program includes more than 30 films and nearly 50 short films, as well as outdoor screenings, meet-and-greets with actors, exhibitions, and free masterclasses. 🎓 Some of the most anticipated titles include:
- The Lives of Sing Sing
- Lorca in Havana
- Secrets of a Crime
- The Perfect Recipe
- And an excellent selection of short films in the official section, many of them with a young and committed perspective.

🌟 Silver Headlights: guaranteed excitement
One of the most anticipated moments is the presentation of the Silver Lighthouses, the honorary awards that recognize the career and contribution to Spanish cinema. In 2025, the following will be honored:
🎭 Julián López, beloved actor and comedian.
🎬 Elena Irureta, a leading figure in film and television.
📺 The legendary program “Cine de Barrio,” for its educational work.
Their names will be forever engraved on the famous Paseo de las Estrellas in Albir, a seafront promenade where cinema and the Mediterranean meet every summer.
